I am glad that I paid it a visit as it was quite an eye-opening experience as I knew nothing about it at first. (**Oops hahaha**) I am now in love with the story behind the building and, of course, the building itself.
It offers both English and Mandarin guided tours. Every session lasts 45 minutes. Admission fee for adult is RM16 per person. The operation hours are listed below according to the official website of Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion.
English Tours:
Daily: 11.00am, 2.00pm
Mondays till Fridays: 3.30pm
Chinese Tours:
Saturdays and Sundays: 12.00pm, 3.30pm
Make sure that you are at the entrance of the mansion 15 minutes before the tour starts. We arrived there 5 minutes before and thank God that we were still not too late. (**phew**) However, it is better to be early as there is size limitation for each tour. After the tour starts, you won't be allowed to enter the mansion.

Our tour guide was humorous and knowledgeable. She gave an insightful and lively account of the mansion and its original master, Cheong Fatt Tze while taking us around. The mansion had been through World War II and eventually fell into disrepair. All thanks to the excellent restoration that brought this building back to life again!
Besides having guided tours, it also serves as a boutique hotel and fine dining restaurant. However, we were only allowed to visit certain parts of the building during the tour. Most parts of the mansion are off limits to the non-guests of the hotel or restaurant.

For your information, Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion was one of the film's shooting locations of Crazy Rich Asians in 2018. And yes, it was during the mahjong scene!
