Few weeks back, my friend and I came across Future Land Fun Zone when we was in Sunway Pyramid. We decided to give it a try since we had plenty of time hahaha :) It is a place where you get to experience the virtual reality (VR). VR is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment where one can immerse and interact with 3D worlds. Sounds cool, huh?
It is slightly different from my previous virtual reality experience as it involves virtual reality rides as well. We paid RM95 for the full access of the games listed in the photo below. (FYI, the pass was shared by two of us. Each of us played three games respectively.)
1. VR Interactive
My friend started off with VR Interactive. One will need to put on the VR headset and hold the wireless controllers to play this game. As the station is located right in the middle of the shop opposite the entrance, many people will tend to stop by and look at the player. It might be quite embarrassing if you lose your game. But, fret not! You can't see them laughing at you haha! (**Nah, just joking! Who cares, right?**)
2. VR Family
This is a ride that can accommodate six persons in one go. You get to choose either scary or roller coaster setting during the ride. Since I am timid (**Yes, horror movie is a NO NO!**), we chose the latter. However, if you are those who can't get enough of horror movies, I suggest you to choose the scary setting as you will get to experience riding on the roller coaster in another games as well.
3. Exo Jet Stimulator
Here comes the highlight of the day! (**Jeng jeng!**) One gets to experience 360° spin in the stimulator as the ride begins. Throughout the ride, you will need to shoot your targets using the controller. The tip to enjoy this game: Stay focused. I was scared of falling out from my seat in the beginning but it didn't happen, of course haha!
4. VR Car Simulator
If you are into the racing games, this is something for you! It might be difficult to control the car at first but you will get used to it after a while.
5. VR Skateboard
Guys, don't be confused by its name! This stimulator is not meant for people to stand on it. I couldn't really figure out how it worked at first until someone demonstrated it. (**Oops...**) As you can see, the seat belt was tied around my waist during the game. FYI, there is no hand holder at the sides. So, make sure you hold tight the edge of the stimulator.
6. Fighter Jet Stimulator
We didn't get to try this as we finished our quota for six games. Too bad!

Future Land Fun Zone also offers VR shooting game where you can play in a team up to six persons. It costs RM35 per person for a 15-minute session.
It even provides bean bags for the customers to sit on.

Verdict: We spent roughly half an hour to finish the games in Future Land Fun Zone. It was fun but I feel slightly disappointed as all the games (VR Family, Exo Jet Stimulator and VR Skateboard) I played were about roller coasters. I was expecting to experience more variety of games. Moreover, the price is on the high side. I won't be visiting it the second time. However, if you haven't tried any VR game previously, you can definitely give it a shot.
I hope you enjoy this blog. That's all for today! :)
